CTECS Assessment Blueprints
CTE Assessments: Workplace Readiness Skills and End-of-Program Assessments
Career and Technical Education (CTE) includes two types of state-required assessments. The CTECS Assessment Blueprints explain how each assessment is structured and how it aligns to Nevada state standards.
Types of CTE Assessments:
Workplace Readiness Skills Assessment
Measures student proficiency in Nevada’s Employability Skills for Career Readiness standards, such as communication, professionalism, teamwork, and problem-solving.
End-of-Program Technical Assessments
Program-specific assessments that measure the technical skills students gain after completing a CTE program course sequence. These assessments are aligned to state standards and are required by NAC 389.800.
Why Use the Assessment Blueprints?
Assessment blueprints help teachers:
• Understand what standards are assessed
• Align instruction and pacing
• Prepare students for required assessments

• The number of questions per standard
• How questions are distributed across the assessment
