CTECS is excited to start the new school year with you and accommodate your Technical Skills Assessment (TSA) and Workplace Readiness Skills Assessment (WRA) needs.

School Year 2023-24

Again this year, you will be using just one E-SESS organization, Idaho CTE. This consolidation of student testing data worked well for SY2022-23.
The School Term field will also be used again this year to help manage testing data and differing school terms. The field will contain either “semester” or “trimester.”
Please note that regardless of semester type, all schools will register their own students for pre-tests. IDCTE will register semester/yearlong students for the TSA/WRA post-tests and retakes. Trimester schools will register their own students all year for TSA/WRA post-tests and retakes.

Reminders

  • Register annually (by Nov.) completing the Test Site Administrator Registration and Agreement form. A day or two after the form has been submitted, you will receive an email from [email protected] with login instructions. Note! If you do not have the password you used last year to access E-SESS, request a password reset from [email protected] or [email protected].
  • Returning test site administrators have access to student testing data from previous school years. Just log into E-SESS and follow instructions to “Change Organizations.”
  • When new test site administrators are added to E-SESS, they are sent an email message from [email protected] with a temporary password and instructions to create a new one.
  • Please refer to the Educator Portal for the FAQs for Idaho-specific information.
  • Menu options in the left column provide additional important details. Preparation for the administration of testing is a multi-step experience and requires processing time.
  • IDCTE is your primary point-of-contact for Assessment and Student Registration Questions: Kyle Luchte 208- 429-5538, [email protected] or Heather Luchte, 208-429-5512, [email protected]
  • You should only contact CTECS with technical issues during testing or with E-SESS.
  • The testing process is set up for In-School Testing (IST) only. Contact Ken Potthoff [email protected], if you have questions about Fully Automated Testing (FAT).

Workforce Readiness Incentive (WRI)

Approved CTE pathways can earn incentives for the number of CTE capstones (grades 11 or 12) in the current year who:
  1. Pass the Workplace Readiness Assessment (WRA),
  2. Pass the Technical Skills Assessment (TSA), and
  3. Earn all SkillStack® sub-badges in their pathway.

Workforce Readiness and Career Technical Education (CTE) Diploma

Students that pass both assessments may also qualify for the Workforce Readiness and CTE Diploma.
